PRISM IE grew out of more than 25 years of open source intelligence work, beginning with training and analysis for defence and security institutions in Nigeria.
Why we built it
Most monitoring tools were built for English and a handful of major languages. They read the rest of the world poorly, they send sensitive requirements to cloud services outside the client’s jurisdiction, and they count mentions without saying how far any of it can be trusted.
We built PRISM IE to fix those three problems: coverage in the languages people actually use, deployment that respects each client’s security rules, and grading that follows the discipline intelligence professionals already know.

Idara Akpan
Founder and CEO
Has run an open source intelligence training and analysis practice in Abuja since 1999, working with Nigerian defence, security and law enforcement institutions. Legal practitioner, called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. Wrote the PRISM IE codebase.
Emem Isaac
Lead Software Architect
Lead software architect at PRISM IE and the most senior developer on the team. Responsible for the overall architecture of the platform, including how it installs on a client’s own servers and runs in fully offline environments. Reviews major design decisions and guides the engineering team on how the system should be built.
Ini Hood
Technical Lead
Technical lead at PRISM IE, setting engineering direction and standards for the platform. Works with the Head of Product to turn specifications into delivery plans, and with the Founding Engineer to ship them. Accountable for the reliability and security of PRISM IE in production.
Silas Ejimonye
Founding Engineer
Founding engineer at PRISM IE, on the team from the start. Turns product specifications into working software across the PRISM IE platform. Builds and maintains the systems behind its collection and analysis pipeline.
John Jude
Head of Product
Leads product at PRISM IE, turning the company’s vision into specifications the engineering team can build against. Runs user research and wireframing with prospective users of the platform. Owns the PRISM IE roadmap and decides what gets built first.
Praise Chinazaekpere

Leads growth and go-to-market at PRISM IE, building traction ahead of the first client deployments. Responsible for customer acquisition, sales and early marketing across security and corporate clients. Builds the content and community around PRISM IE.
